The US Election 2008
When I am writing this journal, the election ended on Tuesday November 4 with historic Barack Obama’s win. He becomes the first black president of the United States. I am an international student and a Vietnamese, so I do not right to vote. However, if I could vote on Election Day, I will vote for John McCain, for reason below: John McCain used to attend Vietnam War, he is a republican, and he is old enough to have experiment to lead this country.

My Breakthrough
I just have been to Las Vegas once, and I have never known about Roulette before. However I just have discovered my breakthrough on Roulette. According to my calculation, the chance to win this game is very big, and if you are a gambler, you should try this game. I used to play Black Jack and Taxes Holdem Poker and I lost some. I realize that I cannot win those games. I spend hours to stand adjacent to Roulette to observe it when I was in Las Vegas last month. And I have had my breakthrough since then. If you don’t know about Roulette yet, no matter. Because my breakthrough for all people who like gambling or not, I want to share it with you.
Let us take back the money we lost in casino. All we need is waiting and playing exactly on my breakthrough. In here, I am only concerned about Red or Black bet in Roulette. You shouldn’t pay attention on others becacuse the chance to win on this is 50-50. After you go to the Roulette table, you observe and wait until the ball gets red or black twice, then you bet on the opposite. For example, if the ball gets black twice, then bet $10 on red. If you lose on the first bet, second bet, third bet, forth bet or fifth bet, you should double the money on these bet times. According to above example, the bets follow position will be $20, $40, $80, $160. if you lose on the fifth bet, you should go home because you are really unlucky. And this also means the ball gets black or red seven time and it rarely happens, if don’t want to say that it is impossible. If you win on any time from the first bet to fifth bet, you should start over again. It means observing and waiting until the ball gets red or black twice and doing the same thing. That all is my breakthrough. Are you agree with me? One thing I am unhappy is no casino in California has Roulette. I want to try my breakthrough but I don’t have time to go to Las Vegas. If you have chance to play it, please talk to me if it works or not. I really want to know. Good luck to those who are gamble or not.

Journal #3 My Favorite Sport

My favorite sport is soccer and I have loved soccer since I was young. Sometime I am crazy about it. Soccer is a King sport, it is very popular in the world. When I was in Vietnam, I often watched Premier League with my best friend, Hai who now studies MBA in Philippine, at the weekend. I am a fan of Arsenal club and the player I love most is Thierry Henry. He moved to Bacelona last year. He is fast as squirrel and has a lot of skill of a professional player. For instance, he can curves through 3, 4 or 5 opponent’s defenders and score. I bought PS2 to play soccer game. I often challenge with my older brother, a good doctor. I know much about famous player in the world, one of them is Donovan in US team. I, however, have not concerned much about it since I came to the US last year. American do not like soccer, they love football, baseball and basketball. No channel has soccer game. I did not watch any match from Olympic Beijing with my laptop which has TV tuner I can watch TV every day. That has made me feel not good. That has made me more and more keep away from soccer.

Hi everyone! My name is Dong, you can call me Don. I am from Vietnam, a small country in southern Asia. I was born in Cai Be, a small town is far about 100km south of Ho Chi Minh city, the biggest city in Vietnam. Since I was eleven, I have not lived near my parent. I had to go to HCM city to live with brother for my studying. Becasue my father told that moving to overthere my future could be better. After I had graduated university as civil engineer, I went back my hometown and had been working there for two year for. Then I told my father I want to go to the US to continue studying. He absolutely agreed, for he always encourage me in studying. I came to the US last year and this is my third semester in ALP. My persuit is to get master degree at civil engineering. Since I came here until last semester, I had never been out of town. Then I decided to visit my sister in North Carolina after the Sping had closed. I had a lot of fun there. Now my closedest goal is to get a good TOEFL score. All I need is 550 TOEFL. It is not difficult to me. However, a thing I concern most now is my pronounciation, sometimes I have had some wrong with it. I recorgnize it. I have leaned very much in ALP, and I hope they will help me and other students more as much as posible. Good luck to them and Good luck to me.

Always be making plans to accomplish something great

This is Diem Hen Cai Be Coffee Shop. This ia an interesting place in my town (Cai Be town -Tien Giang province-Vietnam) where people often meet for chating and singing together at the weekend, for they have live show for music fans. Everybody can go the stage. If you are the best singer at night, you will recieve a shop's reward. The shop also sereves breakfast in the morning with a reasonable price.
